Deco House TV-Dinner Room
This tiny dining room in the 2004 Deco Down house was completed for under $500. I decided on a whimsical theme...the "TV-Dinner" dining room. The room is done in drab greys, representing black-and-white television, complimented by "color-tv" in the accessories.
In this picture: The artwork represents the (frightening?) transition to Color, epitomized by the Tin Man. (Recall that "Wizard of Oz" was in both color, and black-and-white, and one of the first color films.) Note the tone-on-tone grey striping on the wall.
The chairs are Reva stacking chairs by Thonet, an outstanding & affordable cafe chair.

In this picture: A television is built into the custom dining table. Accessories include an antenna-like photo clip, porcelain divided dinner plates, color-striped placemats, and Emeril Lagasse's TV Dinner cookbook.

Hill Rom West Coast Showroom
Entrance to the Hill-Rom West Coast Center for Solutions (Showroom). A sweeping curve leads customers into the lobby and the center of the showroom from an awkward off-center entrance door. The showroom for high-end medical products is located in a low-budget warehouse.
Jeremy Fretts was lead designer and project manager for the original project, and a minor renovation one year later to accomodae changes in the product lines.

Hill-Rom Center for Solutions
This is the featured product area & demonstration Operating Room in the Hill-Rom West Coast Showroom. The O.R. equipment required contruction of a structural cage within the low-rent warehouse space. (California roof structures aren't designed to carry much weight!)
A design center conference room can be seen through the glass doors to the left.
Hill-Rom sold their OR product division featured here shortly after the showroom was built, and it has since been configured. That design effort (not pictured) was also led by Jeremy Fretts.

Product Gallery 1
The "product gallery" was conceived as a way to show products that were not primary features of the showroom. (The West Coast Showroom is approximately half the size of the home office showroom)
Display concept developed by Jeremy Fretts and Sharon Hendrickson (Rowland Design). Graphics by Rowland Design and Hill-Rom.

Lobby, Hill-Rom West
Entrance to the Hill-Rom West Coast Showroom. This project is the ultimate "silk purse to sow's ear." It is a showroom for high-end products and customer visitation program, located in a low-budget warehouse in Irvine, California, and built at a very low cost.
Jeremy Fretts served as lead designer and project manager.

Custom reception desk for Kite Companies
As part of a facility evaluation and interior renovation, Jeremy designed this desk and mail center for the Kite Companies reception area. The key feature is the mail tower, which conceals incoming and outgoing packages, and shipping supplies. Kite has since moved on to grander quarters, but the receptionist still misses this desk.

An experiment in open-plan officing for this deeply conservative organization. Jeremy was extensively involved in developing the test project, working directly with vice-presidents within Forethought. Jeremy also selected systems furniture products and finishes.
