Crossroads Community Church entrance

This is the first phase of a multi-phase masterplan for Crossroads Community Church, PCA, in Fishers, Indiana. The large entrance corridor serves as fellowship space, and is the eventual connector to the rest of the facility. A large multipurpose gymnasium is located at the rear, and wrapped with classrooms.

Despite aggressive cost-control, and extreme simplicity, the facility is quite attractive. This project was built using Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC), and is one of the first in Indiana to use this material.

Faith Community Church, Noblesville

Rear of Faith Community Church. A large window from the multipurpose room looks out onto community greenspace. FCC is "first in" at a designated Village Center in Noblesville, and took special care to be a good neighbor to future development.

FCC was designed for owner-labor, and was carefully coordinated with the General Contractor and congregation. The final construction cost was roughly one-half the cost of a "typical" low-budget church project.

Floor Plan, Faith Community Church

Ultra low-budget, partially owner-built, and deeply multipurpose. The gathering space is situated for easy expansion in the future. A wrap-around porch captures the personality of the congregation, and provides sheltered outdoor classroom space.

New "face" of precast concrete where a portion of the existing building was demolished. New entrances flank either side of the existing building, and enter directly into the heart of the fellowship hall.

The new worship center for Faith Missionary Church seats 500, and accommodates both traditional and contemporary worship styles with excellence.

Extensive planning and consideration led to the expansion and selective renovation of Faith Missionary Church. The renovated fellowship hall is now the center of circulation, with a grand staircase leading to the new worship center.

The "big ugly box" that serves as the new worship center is designed to be flanked by these new classroom wings when funds are available.

Fayetteville Baptist Church Expansion

This was a design-build project for Tri-County Builders of Bedford, Indiana.

A sophisticated (and somewhat illogical) expansion of the existing sanctuary. Due to structural failures in the original structure, the new roof is effectively "tented" over the original structure.

This low-budget design-build project yielded greatly increased seating capacity for this small rural congregation. The renovated sanctuary is also considerably brighter than the original dark, narrow space.
